1966 Pontiac GTO

PHS DOCUMENTED 389, 4-SPEED, FACTORY A/C, PS, PDB

This 1966 Pontiac GTO presents itself well in its factory color code B, Blue Charcoal.  The body is straight from every angle and the fit and finish is good. The front bumper has been rechromed and the headlight bezels are like new. The rear bumper looks to have been re-chromed as well. All emblems look new along with the taillight lenses and trim. The glass has factory tint, all weather stripping and fuzzies have been replaced. The door jambs are painted and have a glossy finish. It has a set of Rally I wheels with a set of redline tires.

The black interior really shows well. What makes it even better is the 4-speed shifter between the bucket sets. The front bucket seats have new cushions and upholstery. It also has new door panels, armrest bases, door handles, window cranks, carpet, sill plates and a tight headliner. The dash has nice clear lenses, a new dash pad, a retro Pontiac AM/FM radio, factory steering wheel, factory Rally gauges and tach. The heater and A/C controls slide back and forth with ease. There are also factory Pontiac style floor mats.

The engine compartment is painted in a satin black finish. Its original 389 cubic inch engine is dressed with a set of factory chrome valve covers and chrome air cleaner. The master cylinder has been upgraded to a dual master cylinder, factory A/C and an HEI ignition for reliability. Some other features include: power steering, Harrison 4-core radiator with factory shroud and clutch fan, factory exhaust manifolds and new upper control bushings.

The undercarriage is all clean metal. The front end components look to be completely rebuilt. It has new shocks. The frame is clean. It has a newer 2.5 inch dual exhaust system with turbo mufflers that exit out the rear of the car. There is a newer gas tank and sending unit. It has a 3:55 10-bolt Saf-T-Track rear end and new control arms bushings. The E-brake cables are hooked up and working.

The trunk is detailed and painted with splatter paint. It has a trunk mat, spare tire, jack assembly, new weather stripping and the jacking instruction decal.

This is one fine example of a clean New Mexico muscle car! It has good looks and lots of power!
