1971 Chevrolet Camaro RS/Z-28-SOLD!

REAL RS/Z-28! PERFORMANCE UPGRADES!

The body on this Camaro is straight down both sides and has nice fit and finish. The paint is layed out evenly and has a very smooth glossy finish. This car being a RS/Z-28 makes it a very desirable car. It has front and rear spoilers and an upgraded steel cowl hood. The black stripes are painted under the clearcoat. The exterior trim was replaced including the front and rear bumpers, taillights, emblems, door handles, front grill and  marker lights. All the window trim, weather stripping and window seals are new. It rides on a set of Torq Thrust wheels with a set of 245/50/ZR16 on the front and on the rear 255/50/ZR16, BFG Comp T/A radials for an aggressive look.

The engine compartment is nicely detailed with its spunky 350 ci motor with some performance upgrades: Victor Jr. Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold with a dual feed Holley carburetor, a set of Summit Racing aluminum heads, headers, an upgraded HEI ignition, serpentine belt system, aluminum 4-core radiator with an electric fan. It has a factory dual snorkel air cleaner and factory Z-28 aluminum finned valve covers.

The interior was meticulously restored. Everything from the carpet to the headliner is new and it all fits precisely too. It has the new retro-tech gauges. The instrument panel was replaced and new dash pad. The wiring harness was thoroughly gone through. It has custom Pro-car Rally bucket seats with matching back seat. The center console is really nice with a Hurst 4-speed shifter.

The undercarriage has some nice upgrades as well. Up front is all rebuilt and has tubular control arms and a fatter sway bar. The frame connectors tie the front to the back to prevent body twist. All the body bushings and shocks were replaced. It has been upgraded with disc brakes on all four corners. The bottom of the motor is clean. It has a freshly rebuilt 4-speed transmission and new clutch. There is a custom exhaust with electric cut-outs.  The floors are all clean metal and original, no rust or patches. It has a new 3:46 posi rear end, new gas tank, sending unit and straps. The E-brake is complete and working.

The trunk compartment is solid and original metal, even the quarters look to be original. It is finished in black aqua splatter paint and has new weather stripping.

This is a fine example of a 2nd generation Camaro that really stands out and performs very well.
