This Trans Am received a restoration that started with an excellent body. It looks amazing in its factory original color, Lucerne Blue. The paint finish has been polished smooth and glossy. It has the correct white decal stripes and they are in excellent shape. It also has new weather stripping and window felts. The glass is in great shape. The grills and headlight bezels are in great shape as well. The taillights, bumpers and emblems are like new. It rides on its original Rally II’s stamped JW wheels with correct center caps and lugnuts. They are wrapped with Firestone Wide Oval tires.
The engine compartment is detailed with its original L74 Ram Air III 400 ci engine. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2021. It has factory A/C that has been changed over to R134 and correct chrome valve covers. It also features power steering and Ram Air exhaust manifolds. The engine bay is very clean and proper.
The interior is great looking in Bright Blue. It has been restored from the headliner to the carpet including the door panels, upholstery and seat foam. The dash was completely refurbished. Some features include a 160 mph speedometer, factory tach, factory seat belts (front & rear), new sill plates, AM/FM stereo that is mounted neatly in the glove box and blue Trans Am floor mats.
During the restoration, all components were removed from the undercarriage including the subframe. All the suspension and steering components were replaced as well as all of the bushings. Looking up at the motor, it is spotless as well as the Turbo 400. The floors are all clean metal. It has a Gardner dual exhaust system with transverse muffler and correct exhaust tips running out the back. It has its original 12 bolt rear end with 3:31 Safe-T-Trac positraction.
