1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396

This is one sharply dressed 1969 Chevelle SS in bright red with black SS stripes running down both sides!! The body is clean and straight. Looking down both sides it is straight, no rust or damage, and the panels fit square and flush. The paint has a smooth and very glossy finish. The door jambs are glossy and the bottom of the doors are clean. The weather stripping and window seals have been replaced. The chrome and trim are in very good condition. It sits on a set of 14x7 SS wheels wrapped with a set of BFG T/A radial tires!!
It sports factory bucket seats with a Hurst four speed shifter coming up out of the floor in between them. The seats have been re-upholstered including new seat foam. It also has newer door panels. Looking forward to the dash, it is very nice. The lenses are clear and feature optional tach and gauges. The dash pad is nice, no cracks. It has an SS Sure Grip steering wheel with SS horn button and a retro AM/FM radio.
The engine compartment is correct and nicely detailed with its 396 ci engine, casting number 3969854. Some features include: HEI ignition, dual feed Holley carburetor, factory correct chrome valve covers, chrome air cleaner, factory exhaust manifolds and a cadmium plated brake booster with newer master cylinder, GM radiator hoses, correct 4 core radiator and fan shroud. It also has power steering and power front disc brakes. The engine compartment has a nice satin black finish.
The undercarriage is just as impressive. The front end has been completely rebuilt. The springs, shocks, tie rods and ball joints have been replaced. Looking up at the motor, it is clean as well as the M20 Muncie 4-speed transmission. The floors are all clean metal. It has a nice 2.5” dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The exhaust pipes run all the way out the back with the correct exhaust tips. Power to the rear is through a 12-bolt rear end. The E-brake assembly is hooked up and working. It also has a newer gas tank and straps. This undercarriage is very nice and all original clean metal!!
The trunk is all clean metal. It is complete with a spare tire, jacking assembly and lug wrench.
This Chevelle SS 396 has great curb appeal and is very impressive to drive as well!!
